Yesterday – information.
Today – voting.
That’s the sequence of events for approximately 780 workers at the American Axle & Manufacturing Driveline Facility in Three Rivers regarding the tentative agreement between their employer and the United Auto Workers (UAW).
Members of UAW Local 2093 gathered at 4 p.m. yesterday (Sunday, May 18th) at Three Rivers High School for an “informational meeting” to hear details about the agreement that was announced on Friday.
Union officials say ratification voting will take place today at the union hall on Hoffman Road.
Approval of the proposed contract would end a strike against American Axle that began on February 26th.
