CW2 Paul Noecker, who recently returned from his deployment to Iraq as a helicopter pilot, on Monday (July 27th) returned a U.S. flag he had been given by the White Pigeon State Police prior to his deployment to Iraq.

The post reports that – during a small ceremony at the post – the flag, which had been flown over Iraq while Noecker was assigned there, was flown over the State Police post from which it came.

Participants in the ceremony were members of the Sturgis VFW who acted as the honor guard, state Representative Matt Lori, St. Joseph County Veterans Services Advocate Rose Risko, members of the White Pigeon State Police post, Jim Noecker, Paul’s father, and members of the media.

The flag will be flown for a short time then displayed at the State Police post.
