A decades-old tradition will continue on Sunday, September 6th, with the annual “Homecoming” for the St. Paul’s Reformed Church of South Colon.

Former parishioners and others affiliated with the long-closed church at the intersection of Burr Oak and Custer roads – between Colon and Burr Oak – are invited to attend.

Ellen Easterday, Georgia Oldenberg (background), and Bruce Snook (not shown) worked Saturday morning (August 22nd) to clean the old church building in advance of the "Homecoming" scheduled for September 6th. All have family ties to the long-closed church building.

The gathering will begin at 1 p.m. with a potluck dinner and business meeting in the Fellowship Hall of the New Covenant Christian Fellowship at 32969 Custer Road.  Attendees will then cross the road to the old church building for a worship service, led by David Farrell.

Those who attend are asked to bring a dish to pass, beverage, and their own table service.
