The Michigan State Police Post at White Pigeon will be conducting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Patrol or “STEP” on US-131 between M-60 South and Hoffman Road on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (September 17th, 18th and 19th).

This effort will consist of an officer in an unmarked vehicle with Laser and two to four marked patrol units off the highway out of sight.

The STEP program will take place between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on each of the three days.

The STEP officers will be focusing on speed, red light running, OWI, seatbelt usage and other hazardous violations.
