One person was killed and another injured in an accident Tuesday (November 3rd) on Buckhorn Road north of Three Rivers.
The Three Rivers Police Department reports that officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Portage Avenue near Walnut Street. The vehicle fled northbound and crashed on Buckhorn Road near Scott Lane.
Police say the driver was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo and the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
City police officers were assisted by the Three Rivers Fire Department, Fabius-Park Fire Department, Michigan State Police, and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
