Artist Dustin Eiswald began painting a mural Wednesday on the back side of Piper's Grinders Galore in downtown Constantine.
Artist Dustin Eiswald began work Wednesday (August 11th) on one of several murals planned for Constantine’s downtown area by the Constantine Community Arts Association (CCAA).
Eiswald is painting the back of Piper’s restaurant.
Work is planned on the backs of buildings adjacent to a parking lot by the Constantine Fire Department, which is on West Water Street.
Eiswald is painting a likeness of a window sill with flower boxes.
Several earlier murals in the downtown area were painted over a year ago by CCAA artists Debbie Eiswald and Trina Patterson.
Merchants and local patrons donated funds for paint and other supplies for murals. Five have been done so far and supplies are left for painting several more murals, according to the CCCA. Artists and various volunteers work on projects at no charge.
