A new category for ‘Letters to the Editor’ has been added to the River Country Journal as an additional tool for encouraging communication, sharing and understanding via the website. The following paragraph provides guidelines for writing and submitting such letters:
The River Country Journal (RCJ) – with a focus on St. Joseph County (MI) and the surrounding area – strives to be an online publication for “Celebrating and nurturing life in Southwest Michigan’s River Country.” With this mission in mind, the RCJ welcomes letters from readers on a variety of topics. Letters must be in good taste and focus on issues of general concern, not personalities. Personal attacks are not allowed and letters must not use libelous, profane or vulgar language. Within these guidelines, all viewpoints are welcome – “left to right, and all points in between.” Letters must contain the name, address, and phone number of the author for verification purposes. Only the name and city or town reference will be published. Letters may be submitted by e-mail to info@rivercountryjournal.com, by fax at (269) 279-8080, or by mail to 620 Pine Street, Three Rivers, MI 49093. Unsigned letters or those submitted without a phone number will not be considered. Publication shall be at the sole discretion of the River Country Journal.
Best wishes!
