The City of Sturgis has issued a reminder of the ‘Entrepreneurship Luncheon’ at 11:45 am. Tuesday (December 7th) at the Sturges-Young Auditorium.
According to The Sturgis eWire, the City – along with the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, Sturgis Improvement Association, and Sturgis Economic Development Corporation – will host Dr. Barbara Fails, Michigan State Universityh professor, to discuss the importance of embracing entrepreneurs.
The event is FREE to the community.
The presentation by Fails is the latest in a series of efforts by the City and its partner organizations to promote entrepreneurism and make the community more open and available to entrepreneurs.
In September, the City was selected to participate in MSU’s Creating Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) program, a three-year commitment in which a select number of communities work with MSU and each other to position themselves to better support the development of entrepreneurs and small businesses as a strategy for economic development.
