A ribbon-cutting ceremony, conducted by the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce, kicked off a full day of activities on Saturday (June 11th) to mark the Grand Opening of the new clubhouse at Klines Resort on Portage Lake.
The day’s lineup included a pancake breakfast, complete with piano music, a remote broadcast on WKZO Radio, a cookout, door prizes, an open house from 10 to 4 for homes within the resort that are for sale, music by the Three Rivers German Band, and as the finale, an ice cream social.
In concluding welcoming remarks that preceded the ribbon-cutting, owner Phil Kline said, “Today, we’re celebrating not the building. We’re celebrating the community that is going to live in this building.” And he thanked his family and said, “Their support made all the difference to getting this done. I’m truly blessed today.” (Phil_Kline audio_clip – :47)
