There’s potential for significant snowfall in ‘River Country’ Tuesday (November 29th) and Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday through late Tuesday night.

Forecasters say rain will change to snow by mid-afternoon and become heavy at times late Tuesday afternoon.  Snow – heavy at times – will continue through Tuesday evening.  Total snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible in the watch area.  Locally higher accumulations in excess of 8 inches are possible if rain changes to snow earlier than currently anticipated.

A Flood Watch also remains in effect through Tuesday evening.
