The Constantine Village Council will meet in special session Wednesday evening (December 28th) to consider the Industrial Facilities Tax (IFT) abatement application submitted by Nature’s Fuel regarding its plans for the former Rexam plant in Constantine.
Nature’s Fuel, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has made an offer on the Rexam building at 950 Industrial Drive and is seeking a 50 percent tax abatement for 12 years on an investment of approximately $55,643,000.
Wednesday’s special meeting follows a public hearing on the tax abatement application during the council’s regular meeting on December 19th.
Also on the agenda for the special meeting is the proposed appointment of Scott Chiddister, a former council member, to the Sewer Ad Hoc Committee.
The meeting will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Constantine Village Hall.
