The Three Rivers Fire Department will be hosting a medical first responder (MFR) course that will begin on February 13th. Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as a few Saturdays. The fire department is offering a limited number of seats to the general public. Persons interested in pursuing community service opportunities in the field of emergency medical services are encouraged to inquire.
A course fee of $400 covers tuition, books, CPR certification, and the cost of a National Registry exam. Participants must be at least 18 years old, have immunization records for TB and Hepatitis B, and meet state standards pertaining to criminal history convictions.
