Plans by Menards for a Three Rivers store – on hold in recent years – are coming back to life as 2012 gets underway.

From the article……”With economic indicators improving, Menards is moving ahead to build a Three Rivers store”…..
Wow…Is it just me, or wasn’t it was just a few months ago we had County commissioners telling us that we were so far deep in the crapper with all their fancy Powerpoint presentations and statistics to justify a $6.9 million out of state partnership, but a few months later and things are all hunky dory enough to jump start a big development like this because economic indicators are apparently improving….amazing.
Apparently, I guess Menards must not have got that memo or have different statistics to work from on their economic outlook for the area compared to some deep thinkers in Centreville…either that or these folks must not be sippin from the same jug of Kool-aid.
Once again, truly another example of something truly unbefrickenlievable.
