The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency – otherwise known as the Health Department – has received 400 doses of FREE flu vaccine to be dispensed in the agency’s three-county service area.
That was the report from Health Officer Steve Todd during the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners meeting last week.
Todd indicated the flu vaccine will be available “while the supply lasts” and said St. Joseph County residents who are interested should “just call the Three Rivers office.” (Steve Todd audio clip – :43)
The Three Rivers office is located at 1110 Hill Street – near the Three Rivers Health Medical Center. The telephone number is (269) 273-2161 or toll-free 800-258-1092.
Todd indicated that most pharmacies still have flu vaccine available and said, “That’s another very good source to get it.” He said the cost for flu shots at area pharmacies generally ranges between $25 and $30.
Todd said, “We are able to give this away because we were given the vaccine for free so we’re just passing it on.”
