Many of us in ‘River Country’ have had an opportunity during the last several years to enjoy various kinds of entertainment and events at the beautifully-restored Riviera Theatre in Historic Downtown Three Rivers. With this in mind, it was a treat to see an article by Adam Sylvain in this weekend’s (February 17-19) edition of USA Today. The story reports that the renaissance we’re enjoying here is also happening elsewhere. To quote from the story, “Elegant old theaters from New York to Indiana to California are getting a new lease because they still strike a chord in anyone who loves the classic movie experience.”
