Nesbitt welcomes Blossomtime Festival community queens to Lansing

The Grand Floral Parade – slated for Saturday, May 5th at 1 p.m. – is the ‘Crown Jewel’ of the Blossomtime Festival.

The parade is in its 106th year in 2012 and will feature over 120 units.

In advance of the parade, State Rep. Aric Nesbitt (R-Lawon) recently welcomed several Blossomtime Festival community queens to the floor of the House of Representatives.  From left to right in the accompanying photo are:  Miss South Haven, Hailey Simmons; Miss Lawrence, Morgan Evick; Miss Hartford, Gabriella Garza; Miss Paw Paw, Samantha Flory; Miss Bangor, Hayley Melvin; and Miss Bloomingdale, Linsey Gile.
