The St. Joseph County Road Commission reports that Shimmel Road at the railroad crossing near US-12 will be closed for repairs beginning in the morning of May 30th.
Julie Mayuiers, clerk of the Road Commission, said, “Currently we only have an estimated time of one week to provide to you for the closure. We will keep you updated as we receive updates.”
The detour associated with the closure is Airline Road to Stubey Road, Airline Road to Klinger Lake Road, Fawn River Road to Stubey Road, and Fawn River Road to Klinger Lake Road.
