As reported in the River Country Journal two weeks ago, the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District (ISD) Board of Education will hold a special meeting this coming Monday (June 11). The meeting will be held at the ISD Office on Shimmel Road south of Centreville.
The meeting will include a public hearing on proposed board policies regarding ‘Student Network and Internet Acceptable Use and Safety’ and ‘Staff Network and Internet Acceptable Use and Safety’. According to the agenda, “A Public Hearing, 1st & 2nd Readings, and Adoption of both policies are needed by July 1, 2012 for the ISD to remain eligible for E-Rate funds.”
Action Items for the meeting include an update and next steps for mechanical systems upgrades for the ISD Administration Building and Pathfinder Center, approval of the First Reading of the policies mentioned above, a closed session for the purpose of collective bargaining strategy (Assistant Teachers and Intermediate Education Association).
