It took less than five minutes for the Lockport Township Board to conduct the township’s ‘Annual Meeting’ Monday evening (June 11).
The rapid-fire session included approval of a number of agenda items including a determination to continue holding regular township board meetings on the second Monday of the month, establishment of depositories, and appointments to a variety of township boards and positions. The board also adopted the township budget for 2012-2013, a spending plan that Supervisor Ray Signorello indicated was essentially unchanged from the current budget. The regular meeting that followed was relatively brief as well, consisting of routine reports and featuring presentations by three of the candidates seeking judicial positions in the August 7th primary election. The board heard from John Barnes and Robert Dutka, two of the five candidates in the running for Probate Judge, and Matt Davidson, one of three candidates seeking the position of District Judge.
The regular meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
