Last week’s Three Rivers Water Festival included the Hometown Idol contest Thursday evening (June 14) on the Main Stage in Memory Isle Park.
Participants competed in three age divisions: Juniors (age 12 and under), Teens (ages 13-19) and Adults (age 20+).
Five-year-old Bella Yantis captured top honors in the 'Junior Division' of the Hometown Idol competition with her rendition of "Rainbow Connection".
Winners of the competition have been announced as follows:
Junior Division
1st – Bella Yantis – “Rainbow Connection”
2nd – Bernadette Kathryn – “Nobody Knows”
3rd – Annie Tank – “Sparks Fly”
Teen Division
1st – Tiffany Melvin – “Beautiful”
2nd – Darian Fountain – “Your Song”
3rd – Chad Vander Mei – “Stand By Me”
Adult Division
1st – Samantha Saltsman – “Rolling in the Deep”
2nd – Caitlin McGehee – “Unchained Melody”
3rd – Anthony Stanfill – “Dead or Alive”
