Saturday (June 23) in ‘River Country’ included music by the Kalamazoo Concert Band (KCB) during a late afternoon concert at Lafayette Park in Three Rivers.
Brian Shetterly, assistant director of the Kalamazoo Concert Band, conducted the band during Saturday's concert in Three Rivers.
The band – with 75 members – played a variety of music and was led by retired Three Rivers Band Director Brian Shetterly.
The modern Kalamazoo Concert Band, an adult ensemble, was founded in 1961. The band’s membership is comprised of adults from the southwestern Michigan area, including a number from Three Rivers.
The KCB will wrap up its series of Summer Concerts with a performance at 4 p.m. Sunday (June 24) in Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo.
There is no admission charge.
