Michigan Works! (serving Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo & St. Joseph Counties) is hosting a HEALTH CARE JOB FAIR in Kalamazoo on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 24 and 25.
“Michigan Works! recognizes the immediate need to fill jobs in the health care industry. This unique two-day event is designed to help individuals understand the needs of health care employers and to match qualified candidates with current job openings,” said Kathy Olsen, coordinator for Michigan Works! Marketing and Communications.
The event is a two-day event (July 24-25) and job seekers must attend and complete all of the first day’s activities to receive a ticket to the Job Fair that will be held on the second day.
PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED for both employers wanting a booth and job seekers wishing to attend. The deadline to register is July 18, 2012 by close of business.
For employers, there is no cost to participate; however, employers interested in a booth at the event must have current job openings available. To register, employers should call any of the Michigan Works! Service Centers located within the five-county area and ask to speak to a Business Services representative (269-383-2536 or 269-660-1438) or email miworks@upjohn.org or dmn@summitpointe.org.
Job seekers wishing to register must bring their resume to any Michigan Works! Service Center located within the five county area (101 N. Albion Street, Albion; 135 Hamblin Avenue, Battle Creek; 210 Vista Drive, Coldwater; 535 West Woodlawn, Hastings; 1601 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo; and 16587 Enterprise Drive, Three Rivers). Upon registration, potential candidates will be issued an admittance ticket for the first day of the two-day event. Job seekers must attend and complete all of the first day’s activities to receive a ticket to the Job Fair that will be held on the second day.
