The Prairie River Watershed Project and the Branch County Conservation District will be hosting a “Clean Waters for the Prairie River” workshop on Saturday, July 28th.

The event will feature a presentation from the Clean Boats, Clean Waters initiative to discuss aquatic invasive species. Invasive species can have a large impact on our waters by disrupting natural ecosystems.

This workshop will include information about aquatic invasive species as well as a demonstration on how to inspect your boat to limit introduction or transfer of these destructive species.

The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. at the Dresser Auditorium at Glen Oaks Community College and will then move to Nottawa Park for a boat demonstration.

For more information and to RSVP please contact the office at (517) 278-2725 ext 5.
