Three Rivers Public Library to offer teen creative writing workshop

THREE RIVERS PUBLIC LIBRARY TEEN CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP: PLAY ON WORDS.

This one-of-a-kind creative writing workshop is an exciting way for teens to explore various styles and genres of writing as well as to uncover their own creative process.

Each workshop will feature multisensory, multimedia writing and artistic activities, with a different writer hosting a session each Tuesday afternoon and a Librarian-led session each Friday afternoon.

Throughout the workshop series, teens will reflect, dabble, scheme, and dream in a sketchbook—blank pages for their observations, questions, and creative responses, including the rough beginnings of stories, poems or compositions.

The ultimate goal is to publish a youth anthology featuring the pieces from workshop participants by the end of the three weeks.

The workshop is open to all youth ages 13-20, though please register at the Library or by e-mailing Stephanie at smorgan@threeriverslibrary.org. All participants receive a free sketch book!
