Next the Falcons will travel to Ford Field in Detroit to play Ithaca at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 23. Tickets are available at Constantine High School.

Athletic Director Mike Messner said at a pep rally held two days earlier that 256 teams initially started in the contest for state champion, and now we are down to the two final contenders – Constantine and Ithaca.

Ithaca’s last win was 31-14 over Shelby.

The Ithaca “yellow jackets” are “good on both sides of the ball” or good at both defense and offense, and have won 40 straight games. Rushing yards per game total 200 on average, and they have an average of 190 yards of passing per game.

Excellent….!!!! Constantine boys ‘play with their hearts’ and they’ve got an excellent coaching staff. Constantine’s really behind their football team. Can’t wait to go to Ford Field next weekend, though it sounds like we’ve got some pretty stiff competition w/Ithaca (and 40 straight wins.. that’s amazing.)
