Three Rivers City Clerk Lindsay Howes has been selected to serve as St. Joseph County’s next grant writer.

According to a report by Rick Cordes in Friday’s (December 28) edition of the Three Rivers Commercial-News, Howes has accepted the position and “will assume her duties on Feb. 5 pending formal approval by the county commission at its next regular meeting.”

Howes was sworn in as deputy city clerk in February of 2003 and as city clerk in May of 2007.

In commenting on her new position, Howes told the River Country Journal, “Part of the position is matching current and future needs with the funding opportunities available.  I’m excited to still be serving Three Rivers and look forward to learning more about Sturgis and the County departments.”
