Three Rivers High School announces cast list for ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’

Three Rivers High School (TRHS) recently concluded auditions for its Annual Musical – THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE – to be presented in late March at the TRHS Performing Arts Center.

Taking place in New York City in 1922, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragonlady of a villainess audiences will love to hate, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment.

Earning the lead roles were Lizzy Skalski as Millie Dillmount, Darian Fountain as Jimmy Smith, Anna Shutes as Miss Dorothy, Levi Wilkins as Mr. Trevor Graydon, Beth Carpenter as Muzzy Van Hossmere and Jessica Sailor as Mrs. Meers. Supporting roles are Melanie Eickoff as Miss Flannery, Tylar Salter as Ching Ho and Cameron Mains as Bun Foo.

Rounding out the cast are Andrew Adams, Paige Barton, Jacob Beck, Kian Bennett, Annie Carpenter, Allison Culver, Justin Dollins, Zach Dye, Maddy Eickhoff, Micah Garrison, Aleesa Gatton, Jenna Hetmansberger, Alyssa Hucko, Tina King, Michaela Lutz, Breezi Miller, Nate Olson, Laren Quinn, Brianne Richie, Paige Saddison, Shelly Shermak, Scott Stevens, Trevon Tolbert, Hayle Terrell, Maegan Trammell, Merritt Weed, Emily Wood, Alyssa York.

Director Marcy Bennett says “the show is all the best that American musical theater has to offer; great songs, lots of dancing and big production numbers, a hard to hate villain, silly love stories, and of course, a happy ending!”

Tickets are $5 for Students and Seniors and $10 for Adults. Tickets will be available at the Three Rivers High School Performing Arts Center Box Office beginning on February 25th from 11 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. weekdays and on the evening of each performance. Tickets will also be available at Lowry’s Books & More and Beam Sound and Video beginning on January 14th and can be purchased now online at www.trhsmillie.ticketleap.com.  Show dates are March 15, 16, 22, 23 at 7 p.m. and March 17 and 24 at 2 p.m.
