The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday (January 2, 2013) for their annual Organizational Meeting. The meeting will be held in the Commission Room of the Historic Courthouse in Centreville.
The initial board meeting of the New Year will include the election of a chairperson and vice-chairperson, the setting of board meeting dates for 2013, and the setting of Executive Committee meeting dates for 2013.
The agenda lists one item of Old Business – project change orders regarding the Alert Central Dispatch Software Contract.
Items of New Business include policy revisions pertaining to the MERS Hybrid Pension Plan and Health Insurance Program, and addenda to employment agreements with Lori Barczak and Patricia Kane and the Contract Defender System Agreement.
Three resolutions are slated for consideration:
- Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Appropriation
- Department of Human Services Appropriation
- Community Health Agency Appropriation.
Nominations/Appointments scheduled for action include one regarding the Commission on Aging and two for the Transportation Authority.
