Chief Clinical Officer Hope Bailey introduced the award recipient, Martha ‘Marci’ Kohlhoff, a Registered Nurse who works in Obstetrics and has been employed by the hospital for 13 years.  She was nominated in the ‘ownership and accountability’ and ‘service and quality’ categories.  Her recognition included money, flowers and a reserved parking space, the latter of which is her favorite.  Kohlhoff said, “The money was fantastic.  It will come and go.  The flowers were fantastic.  They will die.  But three months of parking….”  She also said, “I appreciate the award.  It was humbling and honoring all at the same time.”  The board added to her recognition with a round of applause.

The meeting also included a ‘Pictorial Review’ of the Medical Staff and Allied Professional Staff, presented by Sherri Henschel, Medical Staff Coordinator.  Her PowerPoint presentation began with a veteran member of the Medical Staff, Donald ‘Dr. Don’ Schimnoski, who came on board with the hospital in November of 1957 and is still practicing.
