The Three Rivers Downtown Development Authority (DDA) presented its 2012 Annual Report during last week’s (March 5) meeting of the Three Rivers City Commission.
DDA Executive Director Christy Trammell highlighted a number of activities and accomplishments in the course of the year and said, “We’ve certainly been doing our part to grow the downtown and make an impact on the city as well.”
At the outset of her presentation, Trammell noted the work now underway in the downtown area, funded largely through a $750,000 Downtown Infrastructure Grant (DIG) awarded to the City of Three Rivers early last year. The project includes redesign and reconstruction of the ‘Mural Mall’ walk-thru from North Main Street to Railroad Drive and the West City Parking Lot, plus lighting and sidewalk improvements.
