Wetlands in St. Joseph County and, in particular, the Prairie River Watershed, will be the focal point of a ‘Wetland Wonders’ workshop on Wednesday, April 3rd at Glen Oaks Community College.
The event will take place in the college’s Dresser Auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
During an interview with the River Country Journal, Rachel Smith, Prairie River Watershed coordinator, indicated the workshop will highlight wetlands in the county and the Prairie River Watershed, their functions and how they influence water quality and our daily lives, and a tool that has been developed to help preserve and restore wetlands.
