Spring weather has finally arrived and thoughts are turning to the joys the warm weather months bring in ‘River Country’ – including the Mendon Riverfest!

Organizers say, “It is going to be another great year and we are looking forward to seeing you all there. We are starting off the weekend with our Riverfest Opening Ceremonies and Lip Sync Contest on Thursday August 15, 2013.We have fun and games for all ages, Performers throughout the day, Arts, Crafts and Exhibitors, Food, Drinks and much more all weekend.

“Friday August 16, 2013 will bring more fun than ever with Sidewalk Chalk Coloring contest, Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary, Performers in the Park, Classic Car Cruise and Show, The Nicky Platinum Band and Top Secret Band and the Teen Dance.

“Saturday August 17, 2013 is the biggest day yet with our Mendon Riverfest Parade at noon, Fishing Tournament, Hornet Hustle 5K run-walk, more Performers in the Park, more from the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary, Jim Carlson School with their Yang Style Tai Chi Demonstration, Canoe Race and Swamp, Toy boat and Duck Race, Kayak Race, Corn Hole Tournament, The Tom Frisbie Memorial Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament, Pontoon Rides, The Wall Brothers Band, The RanGamut Band, Our Wonderful Fireworks display and The Nicky Platinum Band.

“It is sure to be a fun filled weekend and we don’t want you to miss a thing. Take time to visit the town we call home.  It’s Pure Mendon.
