In reporting on the budget signing, Mike Brownfield, Director of Social Media in the governor’s office, said, “Also for the third year in a row, Michigan’s budget included increased state funding for K-12 education, which has gone up an average of $632 per pupil over the last three years. In addition, the budget included increased funding for early childhood education, higher education and children’s dental care, in addition to roads and saving for a rainy day.”
