STURGIS – The intersection of S. Nottawa and South Street will be closed Friday (June 28) as part of the street and utility work taking place on South Street. The intersection is expected to remain closed only on Friday, until work is completed. As part of the closure a detour route will be set up to re-route thru traffic.
Vehicles traveling southbound on S. Nottawa will be detoured on Cottage Street to S. Lakeview, and then to E. Fawn River Road, reconnecting with S. Nottawa. Vehicles traveling northbound on S. Nottawa will be detoured on E. Fawn River Road to S. Lakeview, to Cottage Street, reconnecting then with S. Nottawa.
Traffic traveling eastbound on W. South Street will be detoured at S. Clay Street to Magnolia, Magnolia to S. Nottawa, then S. Nottawa to Cottage Street to continue heading east.
Traffic traveling westbound from S. Lakeview will be detoured to Cottage Street, Cottage to S. Nottawa, S. Nottawa to Magnolia, Magnolia to S. Clay, then S. Clay to W. South Street.
