Officers for the 2013-2014 year beginning July 1st were installed during the Three Rivers Lions Club meeting Tuesday evening (June 25).
District Governor Norm Stutesman, a member of the local club, conducted the installation ceremony as his year in the governor’s position was drawing to a close.
A highlight of the ceremony was installation of Barb Stutesman, wife of the governor, as club president for the upcoming year.

Following the installation of officers, Lions’ 1st Vice- President, Steve Larink presented the Board agenda and moved directly into the Board of Directors meeting. During the meeting information was shared regarding the recent Ox Roast project, the Turtle Derby, Rose Day, the Lions’ participation in the Relay for Life, funding requests, and eyeglass assistance applications. Other business included reports from the secretary, the treasurer, and standing committee chairpersons.
Due to the fact that during July and August the general meetings of the Lions’ Club are picnics and not conducive to general business meetings, the next two Board of Directors’ meetings will be held on Monday, July 22 and Monday, August 26 at 7 p.m. at the service center All members are encouraged to attend. The next regular Club meeting will be the Club Picnic on July 23.
