Lockport Township voters soundly reject fire protection millage proposal

Lockport Township voters have soundly defeated a proposed tax levy of 1.2 mills for 20 years to generate additional revenue for fire protection. In balloting Tuesday (May 4th), two-thirds of the 354 voters who cast ballots voted “no.” The tally was 118 “yes” compared to 236 “no.”
